Reports To: Department Supervisor or Contracts Manager
We are seeking a detail-oriented and computer-savvy Contracts Administrative Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis, covering for a leave of absence. This is an onsite role supporting contract administration through order entry, customer service, and pricing support. While a bachelor's degree is preferred , it is not required for this role. Please note: should a full-time position open in the future, a bachelor's degree would be required for eligibility.
Enter and manage customer orders accurately in internal systems
Handle schedule changes and update order status as required
Maintain and update customer portals with order and shipment information
Communicate proactively with customers via phone and email, including delivering delays or other updates in a professional, empathetic manner
Utilize Microsoft Excel and Teams to manage data and support virtual meetings
Support cost accounting functions by collecting and analyzing cost and pricing data
Assist in preparing moderately complex bids and proposals
Analyze production cost performance metrics
Participate in cross-functional projects representing the pricing/contracts function
High school diploma or GED required
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred (especially if seeking future full-time opportunities)
2 years' experience in a customer service, data entry, or administrative support role
Strong computer skills – especially proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams
Excellent verbal communication skills – must be comfortable speaking with customers
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
