TES Staffing is seeking a reliable, hard-working Custodian to join our facilities team at a K-12 school located in Rochester, NY. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Hours: Monday- Friday 6:30a- 3p
Pay: $16/hr 
Start Date: ASAP 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily janitorial and cleaning duties throughout the school

• Sweep, mop, polish, and strip floors in classrooms, hallways, and common areas

• Vacuum, spot clean, and shampoo rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture

• Support school events by making outside purchases as needed

• Respond promptly to cleaning and maintenance requests from the Business Office and school administrators

• Ensure all work meets health and safety standards, particularly in a school setting

  Qualifications:

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred, especially in a school or similar environment

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks for extended periods

• Strong attention to detail and time management

• Must be reliable, professional, and able to work independently

Additional Requirements:

• Per New York State law, all individuals working in a school must complete and pass a criminal background check

• This position is subject to the school's Zero Tolerance Policy regarding drugs, alcohol, and inappropriate behavior while on school property
